Dolores J. Thomas, 75, of Methuen, MA, died Sunday, February 5, 2006 in the Caritas Holy Family Hospital, Methuen. Mrs. Thomas was born in Melrose, MA on February 28, 1930, a daughter of the late Lynton and Beatrice (Roulston) Colman. She was a resident of Methuen for the past five years, formerly living in Haverhill, MA and Andover, MA. Mrs. Thomas graduated from Wakefield High School, Wakefield, MA, Class of 1948. She married William R. Thomas in 1949 in Wakefield. She was very involved in the Andona Society for many years while she lived in Andover, MA. She sang in the church choir and taught Sunday school at the West Parish Church in Andover. She and her husband were members of a Bridge Club and they enjoyed entertaining. Mrs. Thomas enjoyed interior decorating, traveling, her family, friends and her grandsons.
She is survived by a daughter, Candee Siracusa and her husband Lawrence of Londonderry, NH, a son, Craig Thomas of Bedford, NH, two grandsons, Geoffrey and William, three brothers, David Colman of Shelburne, VT, Robert Colman of Franklin, NH, Richard Colman of Nashua, NH and she is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, William R. Thomas in 1986, and also by two brothers, Donald Colman and Theodore Colman.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 11:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry with cremation to follow. Calling hours were on Tuesday, February 7th from 4-8pm in the funeral home.
