Alonzo W. “Lonnie” De Profio passed away peacefully on February 12, 2020. He was 92 years old. Lonnie was a longtime resident of Malden and Medford. He was a United States Navy Veteran during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Lonnie was a longtime employee for the Medford Public Schools and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post in Malden.
Lonnie was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn (Onorato) De Profio. He was the son of the late Gerald and Louise (Seymour) De Profio. Lonnie was the loving father of Linda Smith and her husband Robert of Westborough, Roberta J. Cobuccio and her husband Anthony of Tewksbury, and Deborah A. Heller and her husband Thomas of Weeki Wachee, FL. He was the brother of the late Evelyn Picard and Gerald De Profio Jr. Lonnie was the cherished grandfather of Robert Smith IV, Candice Depaz, Joseph Cobuccio, and great grandfather of Jillisa Smith, Deanna Depaz, and Gianna Cobuccio. He is also survived by 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
A service will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday February 17th at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be held from 9am-11am prior to the service. Private interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
In lieu of flowers donations in Lonnie’s memory may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas PL, Memphis, TN 38105.
