Theresa A. (Manning) Sheridan, a 52 year resident of West Roxbury and a former 10 year resident of Roslindale and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Brigham and Women Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain. She was 93 years of age.
Theresa was born in Boston on June 1, 1926, a daughter of the late James W. Manning and Nora (O'Malley) Manning. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated at St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School . Theresa was a homemaker who dedicated her adult life to taking care of her cherished and loving husband Joe and their 7 children. She was also very proud of her grandchildren and the accomplishments each one of them has achieved in their life. Theresa was an avid swimmer in her earlier years and when she had spare time she enjoyed sewing and shopping. She also enjoyed her family trips to Cape Cod each summer.
Theresa is the cherished and loving wife of 70 years to retired Boston Police Captain Joseph P. Sheridan. She is the devoted mother of Joseph Sheridan, Jeanne Sheridan and her late husband Steven Mortali, Stephen Sheridan and his wife Patricia, Robert Sheridan and his wife Claire, James Sheridan and his wife Kathy, Noreen Sheridan and her late husband Ray Williams and Theresa Waggett and her husband Gerry. She is the loving Memere to her 12 grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of the late Mary Dostie, John Manning, James Manning and Joseph Manning. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
