Willie F. Moore, 82, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2020, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Clinton Moore and the Rev. Jerrel Beatty officiating. Mr. Moore will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 13, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Stan Mercer, Howard Moore, Craig Moore, Darrell Moore, Buck Moore and Broc Moore and will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Moore, Michael Moore, Harvey Moore, Randy Riner, Herman Brown, Van Dow, Buster Mercer, Carl Hall, Billy Hall, Franklin Hall, Melvin Thompson, Kenneth Moore, Timmy Domingue, Rusty Moore, Tom Sprouse and James Hester.
Born February 27, 1937 in Tift County, Mr. Moore was the son of the late Vaughn Moore and Amy Maude Watson Moore. He was also preceded in death by one son, Willie Kenneth Moore. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Willie was a retired tobacco farmer and loved farming. His hobbies included catching and eating fish, watching westerns on television, going to the mountains, and visiting with friends and family. He was of the Baptist faith and was saved by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 65 years, Earline Hall Moore of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Debra Moore of Tifton; a daughter-in-law, Renae Moore of Tifton; six grandchildren, Robin Moore and Amber Connell, Ken Moore, Ashley (John) Walker, Amy (Bo) McCranie, and Anna (Josh) Abbott; and four great-grandchildren, Charleigh Walker, Corie Walker, Cohen Walker and Collins McCranie.
