WORCESTER & MOODY BEACH, ME-Robert V. Elwood, 60, of Worcester died Saturday, February 4, 2006. He leaves his wife of 36 years, Susan E. (Doherty) Elwood; three daughters, Erin Elwood, wife of Michael Bernard of Stratham, NH, Meghan Hubacz, wife of John Hubacz of Wells, ME and Shannon Delello, wife of James Delello of Portsmouth, NH; three grandchildren Madison and Alex Bernard and Sean Delello; a sister, Susan Devaney of Village of Loch Lloyd, MO, several nephews and nieces. He was extremely close with his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nephews and nieces.
He was born in Providence, RI, son of Vincent and Margaret (O’Hare) Elwood, graduated from St. John’s High School and University of Massachusetts. Mr. Elwood was a self-employed Certified Public Accountant in Holden for many years. He was a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Worcester Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed his summers in Moody Beach, Maine as well as spending time with his grandchildren and he ruined the punch line of many a good joke.
The funeral will be Tuesday, February 7 from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales Street, Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, February 6 from 5 until 8 PM in the funeral home.
