Charles A. Donati, IV, 35 of Marshfield, formerly of Whitman, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday February 1.
He was the son of Carol (DiMestico) Swenson and the late Charles A. Donati III, and step-son of Kevin Swenson.
Charlie grew up in Whitman and attended Bristol County Agricultural High School.
He was a proud member of the Local 4 as a heavy equipment operator. As a child, Charlie had learned to operate heavy equipment from his grandfather, the late Jerry DiMestico.
Charlie was a skilled landscape and hardscape designer. His legacy will live on in the beautiful patios and walkways that he has created for family and friends.
He loved fishing, hiking with his beloved pup “Jersey” and working on his GMC. He also loved cheering on the Red Sox and Patriots.
In addition to his mother Carol and step-father Kevin, he is survived by his sisters, Toni (Donati) Butland of Kingston, Hollie (Donati) Bertoni of Brockton and Meri (Donati) Sybertz of Elba, NY, his grandmother, Elizabeth DiMestico of Marshfield, and his loyal and best friend, Rob Mulrey of Plymouth.
He will also be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews; Jacob, Natalie, Carolyn, Meredith, Jillian, Austin, Annalise, and Kendall.
His funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7th at 7:00pm in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, Whitman, MA (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle). Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Burial will be private.
