Arthur J.P. Desrosiers Jr.,68,of Norton died on Saturday February 4,2006 at home surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved husband of Jill H.(LaGreca) Desrosiers to whom he was married to on August 16,1970.
Born in New Bedford,MA on April 15,1937 he was a dear son of the late Arthur J. P. and Theresa N.(Macomber) Desrosiers Sr.
He was educated in Attleboro Schools. Upon graduation he enlisted in The United States Navy, serving during The Korean Conflict. He had been employed as a Custodian, having worked for the City of Attleboro School Department. He retired after 34 years of service.
He was a lifetime member of The Attleboro Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed playing billiards and was a Hardcore New England sports fan. He received the most enjoyment in life when spending time with his loving family. He enjoyed attending his families sporting events and painting and coloring with his grandchildren. He had made his home in Norton for the past 36 years and was formerly of Attleboro.
Besides his loving wife Jill, he is survived by his devoted children. Twins Angela Motta of Attleboro and Pamela Hesford and her husband Jack of Burlington,Vermont, Nathan Couch Desrosiers of Hope Mills,North Carolina and Kimberly Hallas of Titusville,Florida. His dear brother and sister Robert H. Desrosiers of Norton and Doris Thomas of South Attleboro.Also survived by his cherished grandchildren Amy, Amanda, Arthur, Travis, Ryan, John, Nerissa, Sam and the late Rebekah as well as his many nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in law.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday February 8th at 11:00 A.M. at The Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St.(Off Route 140,Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial with military honors will follow in The Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday February 7th from 6-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
