Gaspare “Cass” Panciocco, Lt. BFD Ret., 81 of Londonderry, NH died Friday February 3, 2006 in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH. Mr. Panciocco was born in Boston, MA on September 16, 1924, a son of the late Clement and Assunta (Mariani) Panciocco. He had resided in Londonderry for several years, formerly living in Norwood and Hyde Park, MA. He served with the US Army during WWII and was a member of the VFW Post #8699 of Milton, MA. He retired in 1983 as a Lieutenant in the Boston Fire Department after serving 31 years. He was a member of St. Florian Local #718 of Boston.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanne (Kenney) Panciocco of Londonderry, three daughters, Susan Prestandrea and Karen Errico both of Maryland, Marie Panciocco of Amherst, NH, two sons, Cass Panciocco of Virginia, Paul Panciocco of Maryland, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, his sister, Jill Panciocco of Florida, his brother, Tony Panciocco of Marshfield, MA, also many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late, Mae, Bill, Dan, Merico and Louis.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday February 7th at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Graveside services followed at 1:00pm in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. Calling hours were on Monday February 6th from 3 – 5 and 7 – 9pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 State Rte. 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110-5032.
