Miranda J. Gaj, 28 of Fairhaven died January 31, 2020 unexpectedly at home.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of Brenda L. (Pelletier) Gaj and Walter Gaj, Jr, she lived in Fairhaven most of her life.
She was a graduate of Fairhaven High School, class of 2009 and Bristol Community College, class of 2012. While at Fairhaven High School, she ran track and played field hockey. She also was an member of the swim team at the YMCA.
Miranda enjoyed spending time with her son, family and friends, swimming, painting, music, reading and the company of her cat Jiggs.
Survivors include her parents; her son, Liam Mahan of Milton; and her brother, Matthew Gaj of Fairhaven.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, February 6th at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, February 5th from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Fairhaven Animal Shelter, 200 Bridge St., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
