Joseph Paul DiGangi, 75 of Medford passed away Thursday afternoon surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Salvatore DiGangi and Mary (Paglucia) DiGangi and brother of the late Robert W. DiGangi, he is survived by his wife Kathleen, daughter Linda and son in law Michael Indigaro and son Michael DiGangi and loving partner Christine Boleski all of Medford. The beloved grandfather of Jarrid, Nicholas and Joshua DiGangi and Mikayla Burley, he is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graduate of St. Clement Grammar and High Schools, Joe served in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne. A retired restaurateur who’s passion was spending time with family and friends, whether it be the seven fishes on Christmas Eve or his slow cooked ribs and barbecue at his home away from home on Lake Winnipesaukee, Joe loved nothing more than being surrounded by loved ones, sharing laughs and playing rummy. With his larger than life presence, you couldn’t help but smile when he entered a room. He will be remembered and missed by all the lives he touched.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family on Monday, February 3rd from 4 to 8 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford and again on Tuesday morning at 10 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford. Committal prayers will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Joe's name to Freedom Guide dogs, 1210 Hardscrabble Rd., Cassville, NY 13318-2465.
