Kenneth Ray Scarberry, 88, of Brookfield passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020, at his residence. A private service and burial will be held for Mr. Scarberry at a later date.
Born March 16, 1931 in Rienzi, Mississippi, Mr. Scarberry was the son of the late James Newton Scarberry and Pauline Smith Scarberry. He was also preceded in death by one son, Eugene Scarberry; one great-grandchild, Maleah Scarberry; two brothers, Joseph Scarberry and Lloyd Scarberry; and three sisters, Kathryn Scarberry, Betty Davis and Linda Fowler. He was a tree surgeon and owner of Discount Tree Removal. He was known as the “Best Tree Surgeon” around and he was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Scarberry is survived by his wife, Ruby Lee Scarberry of Brookfield; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenny Lee and Lucy Scarberry of Tifton and Timmy Ray Scarberry of Brookfield; one daughter, Sherrie Justice of Miller County; one brother, Jimmy Scarberry of Tifton; eight grandchildren, James Scarberry, Lloyd Scarberry, Melissa Scarberry, Kenny Lee Jr. Scarberry, Shawn Craig, Courtney Stevenson, Jessica Scarberry and William Cravey; seven great-grandchildren, Thomas Craig, Ande Craig, Brandon Scarberry, Presley Scarberry, Tyler Scarberry, Jacob Scarberry and Tristen Scarberry; and several nieces and nephews.
