Bonnie Roberts MacAllister, 95, of St. Simons Island, Georgia, died Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Pruitt Health in Fitzgerald.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at The Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Gary Mimbs officiating. Inurnment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
Mrs. MacAllister was born May 12, 1924, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late James Marvin & Magnolia Barnes Roberts. She graduated high school and worked her career in Civil Service at military bases in Warner Robins, Georgia, Detroit, Michigan, and Sacramento, California where she retired. She traveled the country along with her late husband, CWO3 Donald MacAllister, USAF, and was a member of First Baptist Church on St. Simons Island.
She is survived by her sister, Frances & Johnny Beck of Fitzgerald and a brother, James “Jim” & Marjorie Roberts of Houston, Texas; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings: Pete Roberts, Jewell Roberts Maner, Ted Hilton Roberts, and Christine Roberts Crider.
