Joan M. (Gregory) Staab, age 86, of Foxboro, passed away on January 27, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Smith and the late Joseph Staab.
Born in Manhattan, NY, Joan was the daughter of the late Harold J. and Mary A. (Ball) Gregory.
A devoted mother and wife, she attended St. Mary’s Church in Foxboro, and worked for the Foxboro Company for many years, retiring in 1985. In her spare time, Joan enjoyed dancing and music. She traveled to Japan, California, North Carolina and Florida with her first husband, Robert Smith, while he served in the Marine Corps.
Mrs. Staab is lovingly survived by her children: Alison Kirkpatrick and her husband Phil of West Medford, Robert Smith and his wife Marie of NY, and her step-sons, Michael, Mark and Kevin. She was also the dear sister of Phyllis Trocola of FL and the late Harold Gregory. Joan was the devoted grandmother of Brendan, Shayne, Tara, Brigid, Philip and Maura, and is further survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Saturday, February 1st, from 9:30-10:30AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Raphael Parish, 512 High St., West Medford, at 11AM.
