Melva I. Neverett, 89, died January 27, 2020 at Holy Cross Health Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Nashua on December 20, 1930 the daughter of Joseph and Victoria (Gelinas) Neverett.
In 1951 she entered the Sisters of Holy Cross. He religious name was Sr. Francis Xavier during her 20 years in religious community. She taught various grades between Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She also taught drivers education at Trinity High School for 30 plus years . She was loved by many of her students.
She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada.
Her dogs were her children, she often volunteered her time sharing her dogs with the sick and lonely.
Family members include her long time friend, Adele Guay of Hooksett, her God daughters, Noemie Masuku, Hali Gagne and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A calling hour will take place on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 9 am to 10 am at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
Following the calling hour will be a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Corner of Webster and Hemlock St.
