Richard C. Merlino, 66, of Warwick in Warwick passed on Saturday January 18th at his home.
Born in Providence, a son of Angelina (Merola) Merlino of Providence and the late Frank Merlino. He had lived in Warwick previously living in Coventry and Cranston. Richard had been a Manager with Benny’s in the North Attleboro store before retiring.
He was an Oakland Raiders fan and he traveled around the country to see them play. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.
He leaves his children, Angela Beth Merlino and Chrisopher F. Merlino both of Cranston, his grandchildren, Teanna L. and Amauri Lanzot and his great-grandson Brandon Reynolds. He leaves his two sisters Jane Dail of Jackson, NJ and Barbara Merlino of Cranston. He was the companion of Gail St. Angelo of Coventry.
His funeral will be held Monday, January 27th at 11am in the Phillips Memorial Baptist Church, 565 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Sunday 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
