Obituary

Lorraine T. Dickinson (71);
of Tewksbury, after a prolonged illness.

Ms. Dickinson leaves her devoted life-partner, Donna M. Wing; sisters, Carol Ann Pratt of Burlington, MA., and Donna Mogardo of Newmarket, NH, and Donna’s husband Jay Robin Reiter; her treasured nieces and nephew, Emily Fitch and husband Dustin Jarrett Fitch of Belmont, MA., Eliza Reiter of Newmarket, NH and Andrew Pratt of Watertown, MA., her extraordinary extended family, Pam and Rick Tricca, and their children Julia, Michael and Matthew, her super-hero and greatest fan, of Westford, MA., and Richard Wing of Wakefield, MA.

A twenty year resident of Merrimack Meadows in Tewksbury, Lorraine developed a strong community of cherished neighbors and friends.

Lorraine found joy in hosting friends and family, feeding each generously in body and in spirit for holidays, birthdays, celebrations marking accomplishments and other joyous occasions. Every season her home was a prized gathering place for friends, friends of friends and family.

She enjoyed cooking, especially animal shaped French toast for her younger visitors, and collecting pointers and possibilities for her own specialties from various television cooks and chefs.

Lorraine was an enthusiastic Red Sox fan watching games with her mother, Loretta to whom she showed life-long love and dedication.

Her hobbies included fishing, cribbage, exploring local restaurant and travel. In addition, she loved music and live performances of her favorite artists.

Lorraine’s zest for life was only outmatched for her mission to help others. She worked tirelessly for over a decade raising money for Cystic Fibrosis research, a charity dear to her and her family.

Donna and Lorraine, affectionately known as “the Ladies”, wish to thank all those at the “Meadow” who have embraced and supported them with their loving kindness throughout the years.
