Dorothy M. Amaral, 92, of Dartmouth died January 20, 2020 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Lionel S. "Leo" Amaral.
Born and raised in New Bedford, daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Wilkinson) St. Pierre, she lived in Dartmouth most of her life.
She was formerly employed as a secretary with the New Bedford School System for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of the Goodyear Seniors and enjoyed traveling with her late husband.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Gonzalski and her husband Stephen of Stewartstown, PA; and a grandson, James Gonzalski.
She was the sister of the late Robert St. Pierre, Alice Ouellette, Philomena Raymond and Irene Therrien.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 24th at 1 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 23rd from 4-7 PM.
