Jakob Keller, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston. He was the husband of Rosalia (Kuhner)Keller, whom he married on May 16,1954.
Born in Filipowa, Yugoslavia, July 12, 1928, the son of the late Stefan and Katerina (Manz) Keller, Mr. Keller he immigrated from Germany to the United States in 1952.
Jakob had a storied career that included over 20 years at the Carling Brewing Company and then also at Gregorian Oriental Rugs.
Jakob had a tremendous passion for his garden, flowers and outdoor life. He was an avid fisherman and dabbled in several various hobbies including bee keeping, wine making, beer making and others.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, James Keller and his wife Lisa Keller of Salem,New Hampshire and Erika Harkey and her husband Peter Harkey of Millis.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Samantha Harkey, Thomas Harkey, Allison Keller and Nathan Keller.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 18 in St. Mary’s Church , 708 Washington Street, Holliston at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Holliston.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway.
