Obituary

Raymond E. Dobrzelecki, 87, a former resident of Salem, passed away at the Beverly Hospital on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 following a long illness. Born and raised in Salem he was the son of the late Stanislaus and Eunice A. (Theriault) Dobrzelecki.
Ray joined the Army in 1949 and served in Germany until 1952. Following his tour of duty he returned to Salem and was associated with R.E.E.D. Landscaping Co., Inc. until 1975. That year Ray began working for the Salem School Department as a custodian, which he continued to do, until his retirement in 1993. Ray was a life time member of the VFW Post 1524 and the DAV both of Salem. He was a long time member of the former St. Joseph Parish and later a member of the St. John the Baptist Parish both of Salem. He was currently a resident of Care One at Essex Park in Beverly.
Ray is survived by several cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Houde.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 8:30 A.M. to be followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in the John Paul II Shrine of Devine Mercy, 28 St. Peter St. Salem at 10:00 A.M.
