WORCESTER__George J. Brigham, 76, of Worcester, died peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday January 14, 2020 in UMASS-Memorial Medical Center, University Campus.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, Joan M. (Kulesza) Brigham, his children, Katherine Mata and her husband, Robert of Texas; Karen Burke and her husband, Timothy of New Hampshire; Michelle Martone of Florida and George J. Brigham, Jr., and his fiancée, Cindy Cloutier of Millbury, nine grandchildren, five great-grandsons, a sister, Anna Trudell of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. George was born in Worcester, a son of the late Raymond H. and Anna L. (Zenkowsky) Brigham and has lived here all of his life.
Mr. Brigham was a machinist for many years, he worked for Crompton & Knowles Co, and later worked for Warner & Swazey Co. He retired several years ago. After retiring George was a bus monitor for 5 years for AA Transportation Co. Mr. Brigham was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
The funeral will be held on Friday January 17, 2020 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday January 17, 2020 from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M.
