Patti Sue (Howard) Safford, 62, Anderson, died January 13, 2020, in Atlanta, Georgia of an unexpected illness.
She was born December 9, 1957 in Anderson, the daughter of Donald and Janet (Goodwin) Howard. Patti graduated from Highland High School in 1976.
She worked at Impact 21 since 2007 as director of operations, leading her company and clients in strategy and business alignment. She worked 14 years for Ricker's Oil in the I.T. Department. She volunteered with Make-A-Wish Foundation. She loved Disney, photography and her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Safford of Anderson, whom she married in 1995; mother, Janet (Goodwin) Howard of Chesterfield; mother-in-law, Mary Macklin of Anderson; three children, Jason Vandergrift of California; Chris (Julie) Vandergrift of Fortville and Brooke Safford of Anderson; sister, Vicki (Jeff "Uncle Evil") Chase of Anderson; three brothers-in-law, Bob (Donna) Safford of Noblesville; Mark Safford of Anderson and Steve (Patty) Harney of Fishers; two grandchildren, Madison Johnson and Mason Vandergrift; one niece, Holly (Wes) Flesher of Muncie; one nephew, Adam (Ashley) Chase of Anderson; seven great nieces and nephews, Jackson, Cooper, Maddux, Austin, Ava, Ashton and McKenzie and many other relatives..
Patti was preceded in death by her father, Donald Howard.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2020, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Steve Wimmer of South Meridian Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
