In Taunton, Michael S. Silvia, Age 58, passed away unexpectedly in Morton Hospital on January 13, 2020. Michael is survived by his beloved wife Laurinda (Teixeira) Silvia of Taunton. He was born in Taunton, the son of James & Janet (Silva) Silvia of Taunton. He attended Taunton schools and a graduate of Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical High School. Michael had resided all his life in Taunton. He was employed as a welder for G. B. Sons in Raynham. Michael was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, walking, going to his favorite Bass Pro Shop and loved spending time with family and friends. Michael is survived by his children; Patricia, Michael Jr., and Jeffrey Silvia and Alyssa and Ashley Johnson, his siblings; Joseph and Robert Silvia and Jennifer Brown, grandchildren; Jackson, Eli, Eric, Adam, Autumn, Mckayla, Parker and Cali. Michael also leaves several nieces and nephews and many friends. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Friday, January 17th at 11am. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours on Thursday from 4-7pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
