Blanche T. (Vaccaro) Black age 86 of Brockton, died unexpectedly January 7, 2020 at the Brockton Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Donald J. Black, Sr. She was born and raised in Malden, Mass a daughter of the late Angelo and Santa (Ginardo) Vaccaro and had been a resident of Brockton since 1970.
Following her graduation from Malden High School in 1952, Blanche worked her way up in the international department of State Street Bank. After her children had grown, Blanche worked as a sales clerk in the Westside and Westgate Mall Sears Department Store.
In her free time, Blanche loved shopping, reading and solving word search puzzles. She will be remembered as a bubbly, easy going and funny lady. She was laid back and would do anything for you. Blanche was especially proud of the three generations of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Blanche was the mother of Donald J. Black, Jr. and his wife Joanne of Palm Beach, FL, Michael A. Black and his wife Debra of Brockton, John J. Black and his wife Michelle of Cobleskill, NY, Sueanne Giel and her husband Remberto of Brockton and the late Kathy Ghizari. She was the grandmother of Felicia M. Talbot and her husband Justin, April Bass and her husband Brian, Theresa Freer and her husband Daniel, Kristopher Black and his wife Trisha, Andrianna Ghizari, Marissa Giel, Gina Marie Benoit and her husband Spencer and Andre Giel; great grandmother of Owen Talbot, Aubrey Talbot, Jaylee Black, Ella Talbot, Kaiden Black, Kinsley Bass, and Danielle and Nate Freer. She was the sister of the late Carl, Francis and Joseph Vaccaro.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday, January 12, from 2-5pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home, Monday at 10:30am followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery.
