Lucille A. (Fortin) Violette, 85 of New Bedford died January 3, 2020 peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of Robert L. Violette.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the Sylvio J. and Ernestine M. (LePage) Fortin, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband and days out with her sisters.
Survivors include her husband; 3 sons, Robert E. Violette and his wife Katherine of Taunton, Steven G. Violette and Eric J. Violette, both of New Bedford; 2 sisters, Doris Szela and Lillian Lovegrove, both of New Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Eugene Fortin.
Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 8th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, January 7th from 4-8 PM.
