Eugene “Gene” Burchfield, of Medford, passed away on Saturday, January 4. He was 90 years old. He was born in Cincinnati, OH, and was the son of the late Paul and Edna Flatley.
Gene was a U.S Army veteran serving from 1947-1948. Prior to his retirement, Gene was employed in the livery business.
Gene was the beloved husband of 63 years to Anna M. (Marchese) Burchfield. Dear brother-in-law of Rocco and Elaine Marchese of Dedham, Joseph and Nancy Marchese of NH., Rose Marie Marchese of Hyde Park, Jo-Ann Ryan of NH., Janet and the late Gerard Marchese of Medford, Josephine and William Savage of Medford, David and Dawn Marchese of Las Vegas, NV., and the late Robert Marchese. Gene was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Gene’s funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Wednesday, January 8, at 9AM, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 7, from 6-8PM.
