Felicia A. Bociek, 85 of New Bedford died January 3, 2020 peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Gwozdz) Bociek, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was formerly employed as a home health aide at St. Luke's Hospital for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Bociek was a devout Catholic and a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
She was devoted to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, yard work, gardening singing and playing the piano.
Survivors include her daughter, Felicia Jardin and her companion Wilfredo Rosario of New Bedford; 2 sons, James Jardin and his fiancée Elaine Kelleher and Robert Jardin, all of New Bedford; a brother, Rudy Bociek and his wife Frances of Bridgeport, CT; a sister-in-law, Wladyslawa "Vaja" Bociek of New Bedford; 6 grandchildren, Jarrett Galarza, Cody Jardin, Michael Galarza and his wife Tina, Tempest Rosario, Allie Jardin and John Jardin; 3 great-grandchildren, Michael Galarza, Jr., Cole Galarza and Drew Galarza; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late John Jardin, Jr., and the sister of the late Robert Bociek, Stephen Bociek, Harold Bociek, Stanley Bociek, Cecelie Lysko and Claire Sanford.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 9th at 9 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Visiting hours are omitted.
