Jeanne (Weady) Prokop, 71, of Crown Knoll Court, Groton, died Tuesday at Pendleton in Mystic.
Mrs. Prokop was born in Norwich on August 7, 1934. She was a 1952 graduate of Norwich Free Academy and later received her nurse’s training.
She was employed as a L.P.N. for the State of Connecticut, Department of Corrections, working for many years at the J.B. Gates Correctional Facility before retiring. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling.
Her husband, Theodore Prokop, died in 1987.
She is survived by her son, Bruce W. Falcone of Mystic and her grandson, Justin James Falcone, both of Mystic; and a brother, Paul Weady of Norwich.
At her request, there will be no services or visitation. Donations in her memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of SECT, 403 N. Frontage Road, Waterford, CT 06385.
