Limerick - Linda Fay Gilpatrick, 61, of Limerick died at her home on December 30, 2019 after a long battle with kidney disease. She was born in Portland on December 31, 1957, a daughter of Melville and Muriel (Parker) Sargent and was educated in Cornish schools.
Linda was a devoted homemaker her entire life. She was active in her community including being a 4-H Leader for the York County Teamsters, and Den Mother for Cub Scout Troop # 329. Above all Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by an infant child, Melville James Ramsdell. Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Gerald "Jerry" Gilpatrick of Limerick. 3 children: Candy Ramsdell of Sanford, Jason Gilpatrick of Limerick, and Jessica Winn and husband Thomas of Limerick. 7 grandchildren: Samantha Dulac, Aiden Reynolds, Zackery Evans, Devin Evans, Nathan Reynolds, Noah Day and Eilish Winn. 7 siblings: Cheryl Sargent, Roxanne Harmon, Doreen Mowatt, Melissa Norton, Stan Sargent, Nelson Sargent and Virgil Sargent as well as many nieces and nephews. Last but not least her "grand-dogs", Lady Bug and Maggie.
Memorial visiting hours will be on Friday, January 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Poitras, Neal and York Funeral Home, 71 Maple Street, Cornish. A memorial service will be on Saturday, January 11, at 1 p.m. at the South Limington Free Baptist Church on the Moody Road. Pastor Will Rankin will officiate. A reception will follow at the church.
