Jack Kenneth Moore, 88, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home, in Ocilla, Georgia, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday January 4, 2020, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Ocilla Cemetery, in Ocilla, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Moore was born February 22, 1931, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late James Paul & Ola Myrtice Dix Moore. He was also raised by Irene Weaver Moore. Mr. Moore served in the United States Navy for four years. He was a truck driver and painted and roofed houses. He enjoyed making wine, fishing and gardening. Mr. Moore attended Christian Fellowship in Fitzgerald.
He is survived by his three daughters: Sharon Moore & Alvin Dorn of Fitzgerald, Paula Moore Cleghorn of Mystic and Melody Moore & David Litt of Tucker; grandchildren: Michelle Seagroves & Michael, Misty Little and Nicole Smith & Justin; four great-grandchildren: Logan Seagroves, Marina Maples, Madison Warren and Cole Smith; five sisters: Florence Ross of Ocilla, Joyce Giddens of Fitzgerald, Alice Huff & Woody of Orange Park, Florida, Deanie Cleghorn & H.L. of Fitzgerald and Pat Smith & Troy of Fitzgerald and a brother, James Russell Moore of Orlando, Florida, along with a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Eddie Moore.
