BRIDGEWATER - Joseph A. May, 62, of Bridgewater died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at New England Medical Center in Boston after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Joanne (Budzinski) May.
Born Oct. 4, 1943, in Coshocton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Harry and Evelyn (Murray) May.
Raised and educated in Roslindale, Mr. May had been a resident of Bridgewater for the past 20 years.
He retired in 2002 as supervisor in the Mass Department of Revenue after working there for 37 years.
Mr. May was in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife Joanne, he is survived by his two sons, Kenneth J. May and Scott A. May, both of West Bridgewater; two sisters, Carol Ann Cincotta of Newton and Judith Ensko of Blackstone; a brother, Harry Neil May of Medfield. Also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew, Allison and Bryan May and Justin Smith.
His Funeral service will be held in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Friday at 10 a.m. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury.
