John Willis Dill, 90, of Cameron died Monday, December 16, 2019 at his home. Memorial services will be 1:00 pm Friday, December 27, 2019 at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. A memorial graveside will be held 11:00 am Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Holt Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. Richard Sellers officiating.
Mr. Dill was born December 23, 1928 in Ocilla, GA to John Joseph and Narcissus (Paulk) Dill, the youngest of two children. He graduated from Ocilla High School in 1946 and then earned his BS Degree in Industrial Arts at Berry College in 1951. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. In 1954 he married Anita Elizabeth (Betty) Scott and together they raised 4 children, Scott, Suzanne, Nancy and Stephanie.
After Betty’s death, he married Clara Jetonne Hardgrave in 1986 and lived in Austin and later in Victoria. After Jetonne’s death, he met and married Linda Jean Gallahan in April of 2016 and lived in Cameron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first two wives and by sister, Mary Patrick and her husband Jesse Lee Goodman. He is survived by:
