David Doss Gibbs, 61, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, December 23, 2019, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Friday, December 27, 2019 at Turner Cemetery, in Tift County, Georgia, with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Gibbs was born April 13, 1958, in Tifton, Georgia, to the late James Thomas & Mary Elizabeth Brown Gibbs. He was an electrician for All Pro Electric and he also loved to fish.
He is survived by two sons: David & Kayci Gibbs of Fitzgerald and Justin Gibbs & Chastity Hayes of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Kade Gibbs, D.J. Gibbs, Warren Gibbs, Abbie Sanders, Ashlyn Sanders and Savanah Brown; siblings: Richard & Faye Gibbs of Fitzgerald, Tommy Dale & Barbara Gibbs of Enigma, Lynn Gibbs Stuhl & John of Havana, Florida, Randy & Debbie Gibbs of Enigma, Faye Gibbs Coleman & Richie Jolley of Fitzgerald and Mandy Gibbs Hall & Junior of Albany. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother James T. “Roogie” Gibbs, Jr.
