Raymond R. Lussier

TEWKSBURY: Raymond R. Lussier, age 72, a resident of Tewksbury for 40 years, passed away at home, following a hard fought battle with cancer on Thursday, December 19, 2019.
He was the beloved husband of Louise (Fifield) Lussier, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.
Ray was born in Salem on July 8, 1947, the son of the late Richard L. Lussier and the late Rita T. (Cote) Lussier.
He was raised in Peabody, and graduated from Peabody High School.
In 1966, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was awarded several decorations for his active duty service including the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Parachutist Badge.
Following his honorable discharge from active duty service, he entered Boston State College, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree and later a Master’s Degree in Finance and Psychology.
Prior to his retirement, he owned Financial Advisors Network.
Ray was an avid golfer, and was a member of Nabnasset C.C., Atkinson C.C., Indian Ridge C.C. and Legends Golf & Country Club in Ft. Meyers, FL
In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughters, Deborah A. Destler (Jonathan) of Los Angeles, CA, Emily L. Lussier (Oscar DeVlaminck) of Londonderry, NH, and Suzanne M. Quirxtner (Thomas) of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Preston Simao, Gabriella and Samantha Destler, Christian and Amelia Quirxtner; sisters, Janice D. Hallinan (M. Thomas) of Peabody, and Nancy J. Perry (Michael) of Amesbury; also many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
There are No Calling Hours. Family and friends are invited to meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury for his Memorial Funeral Mass. Interment of his ashes will be at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Please Omit Flowers. Donations in his memory may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
