Ann A. (Sylvia) Neves, 79, of Dartmouth died peacefully at home on Friday, December 20, 2019 surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of the late James Neves.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Edward Sylvia and Althea (Powell) Johnson, she lived in New Bedford and Dartmouth most of her life.
Ann served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member and past commander of the American Legion Moby Dick Post 459.
She enjoyed spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Dawn Andre and her husband Marc, Sharon Enos and her partner Diane Larsen, and Jaime Singhal; 2 sons, Mark Fletcher and Thomas Tarazano and his wife Kristen; her brother, Bill Edwards and his wife Joanne; 6 grandchildren, Cory, Kara, Tyler, Brett, Thomas and Sanjay; and 7 great-grandchildren, James, Aiden, Jaiden, Jacob, Liam, Jaxon and Kaydence.
She was the grandmother of the late Stephen D. Reul, Jr.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 27th at 11:30 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Her family will receive guests Friday morning from 10:30-11:30 AM prior to her Service. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
