Doris "Lee" Dillard, 67, of Tifton passed away Friday, December 20, 2019, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2019, at Wayside Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Josh Campbell officiating. Mrs. Dillard will be laid to rest at Wayside Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mrs. Dillard will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Brandon Dillard, Austin Dillard, Nicholas Sixkiller, Jacob Sixkiller, Jose Castanon and Tommy Dillard, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Dillard, David Fogarty and Chris Fogarty.
Born May 3, 1952 in Savannah, Mrs. Dillard was the daughter of the late Mary A. Sconyers Thompson and Joseph F. McGowan, Jr. She was a homemaker and a member of Wayside Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School.
Mrs. Dillard is survived by her husband, Ronald Dillard of Tifton; her children, Emory Sixkiller and wife Lora and Lynn Martinez and Antonio Perez, all of Moultrie, Ronnie Dillard and wife Rhonda of Lenox and Ricky Dillard and wife Miranda of Tifton; one brother, Joseph F. McGowan III of Tifton; one sister, Julia Jones of Chattanooga, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
