TEWKSBURY – Raymond J. Paczkowski, age 84, a former Tewksbury Attorney, died peacefully in the care of his family and hospice at his Tewksbury Home on Thursday, December 12, after a years of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Byzdra) Paczkowski, with whom he had celebrated a twenty-sixth wedding anniversary last December 18th.
He was born in South Amboy, N.J., son of the late Frank and Helen (Zyskowska) Paczkowski, and raised in South Amboy. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in South Amboy, received a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Michael’s College in Vermont, and his Doctorate of Law from the former Portia Law School, now the New England School of Law.
Ray was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army.
For decades, Raymond worked tirelessly for Central Services of A.A., and was a “Friend of Bill” for the past 36 years.
Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Carolyn Anne Grant and her husband Kenneth of Beverly, MA, Annemarie Carlysle and her husband Benjamin of Maynard, MA, William F. Paczkowski of Queens, NY, and Raymond J. Paczkowski Jr. of Vermont; five grandchildren Caleb, Lucy-May,Hannah ,Kate, and Hattie.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Holy Trinity Polish Church, 340 High St., Lowell, on Saturday, December 28, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers, 31 Milk St., Unit 810, Boston, MA 02109 are encouraged. Visit: tewksburyfuneralhome.com
