Susan J. (Hobson) O’Brien, 69, of Marion passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 17, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Ernest Hobson and Doris (Johnson) Barnett, she lived in Marion for most of her life.
Susan dedicated 30 years of her life to the administrational operation of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church.
She loved cooking, going to the beach, playing tennis, and taking long walks.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin J. O’Brien and his wife Abby of Hingham and Stephen H. O’Brien of Scituate; and her siblings, Robert Hobson and his wife Jackie of Fairhaven and Carol Kerwin and her husband William of Leonardtown, MD.
She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Hobson.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 21, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church 124 Front St., Marion. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Tabor Academy (for financial aid for future students), 66 Spring St., Marion, MA 02738.
