Obituary

Roger D. Brillant, 91, of Londonderry, NH, passed away December 18, 2019, after a period of declining health. Roger was born April 24, 1928 in Salem, MA and was a son of the late Ovide and Rose (St. Pierre) Brillant. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Fitchburg State College. Roger resided in Beverly, MA for many years. He lived in Ocala, FL. for 23 years, prior to relocating to Londonderry in 2013.

Roger served in the US Navy on Destroyers during the Korean War. He was a contractor for many years and was a teacher at NE Regional Metro Voc. Tech in Wakefield, MA for 20 years. After retirement, he and his wife lived in Ocala, FL. and summered in Sanford, ME. Roger loved woodworking and carpentry and enjoyed Tai-Chi. He was also an active member of the Londonderry Senior Center.

Roger is survived by his wife of 70 years, Phyllis (Moore) Brillant of Londonderry, two sons and their wives, David P. & Helen Brillant, Mark A. & Pat Brillant, three daughters and their husbands, Loree R. & Charles Luis, Donna M. & Francis McNamara and Suzanne M. and Robert Raposo, 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Loree Brillant.

After cremation, a visitation was held Sunday December 22, 2019 from 1 to 3 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am at St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. His cremated remains were interred at 12:30 pm at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, in Boscawen, NH.
