Michael J. Sena, 35 of Fairhaven died December 7, 2019 unexpectedly at home.
Born in New Bedford, son of John H. and Eugenia (Fernandes) Sena, he lived in Fairhaven all of his life.
He was employed as a Correctional Officer with the Bristol County Sheriff's Department for over 12 years.
Michael enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with his son Isaac. He also enjoyed movies and was always willing to lend a hand. He loved cooking and barbecuing for friends and at family events. Michael was known and loved for his bright and vivacious smile.
Survivors include his parents; his son, Isaac Sena who he loved and adored, his fiancée Jessica Washburn of Fairhaven, his brother, John Sena, Jr. of New Bedford, stepson Ricky Valentin and Isaac’s mother Alicia Pimentel and many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as dear friends.
His Funeral will be held on Friday December 20, 2019 at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 10 AM. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday December 19, 2019 from 5-8 PM.
