DUDLEY – Josephine J. (Kosiba) Krupinski, 91, died Sunday, December 15, 2019 in Southbridge Rehab & Nursing Center, Southbridge, after a period of declining health. Her husband of 38 years, Edward T. Krupinski, died in 2001.
She leaves 2 nephews, John Kosiba and his wife Kathleen of Woodstock, CT who were her caregivers, and James Kosiba and his wife Mary of Dudley; a niece, Kathleen Faucher and her husband Bernard of N. Grosvenordale, CT; several grandnieces and grandnephews; and 2 close friends, Evelyn Nieszczezewski and Susan Nichols. She was preceded in death by her brothers Joseph and John Kosiba and by her sister Stasia Vrabel.
She was born in Dudley, a daughter of Alexander and Mary T. (Wengrzyn) Kosiba and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster.
Mrs. Krupinski was the bookkeeper at the former Grand Furniture in Dudley for many years. She then worked a sales clerk at Mars Department Store in Dudley before retiring.
She was a member of Saint Andrew Bobola Church and also belonged to the Holy Rosary Sodality, the Sacred Heart Society and the Saint Anne Society, all of Saint Joseph Basilica in Webster.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting, music and animals.
The family would like to thank Josephine’s friends from Catholic Charities and the Visiting Nurses’ Association for their compassionate care during her illness.
Her funeral will be held Monday, December 23, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Monday, December 23, in the funeral home, prior to the Mass. Donations in her name may be made to either the National Shrine of Saint Jude, 3200 East 91st Street, Chicago, IL 60617, or to Saint Anthony’s Guild, 144 West 32nd St., New York, NY 10001.
