Worcester – John F. Abdelmaseh, 61, of Worcester passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, December 10th.
John was born in Worcester, son of the late Edward and Anna (Biando) Abdelmaseh. He is survived by his two children, Jennifer Abdelmaseh of Durham, CT and Joseph Abdelmaseh of Woodbridge, CT; two brothers, David Abdelmaseh of North Brookfield, MA and Michael Abdelmaseh of East Longmeadow, MA; two sisters, Janet Poce of Leicester, MA and Judy Petersen of North Attleboro, MA; two grandchildren, Joshua and Alexis Abdelmaseh and many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. John is predeceased by a sister, Michelle Abdelmaseh.
Mr. Abdelmaseh retired from the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation but, his true passion was working in the food industry as a chef. John was a fan of the New York Giants and a true car enthusiast who loved to attend any event that was associated with cars, especially NASCAR, truck pulls, monster truck pulls and the burn outs that used to be held with the former Summer Nationals Car Show that was held in Worcester.
The funeral for John will be held from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester on Saturday, December 21st with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Saint Peter’s Church 929 Main St. Worcester. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 before the funeral.
