E. Norman Berthiaume, age 82, passed away on Dec. 8, 2019 at the East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Nov. 24, 1937 in Springfield, a son of the late Roland and Clementine (Miscisco) Berthiaume. Norman Served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. Norman later worked as a teacher for many years at the Lower Pioneer Valley Collaborative in West Springfield. He is predeceased by his wife Gertrude “Trudy” (Blanchard) Berthiaume who passed away in 2011. He is survived by 2 sons, Edward Berthiaume Jr., and his wife Janet of Somers, CT and Robert Berthiaume and his wife Linda of East Longmeadow; 1 daughter, Dawn Berthiaume of Springfield; 2 brothers, John Berthiaume of CA and Joseph “Buddy” Berthiaume and his wife Carol of Springfield; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews along with his K9 Companion TJ. He is predeceased by his siblings Roland “Frank” Berthiaume, Richard Berthiaume, Theresa Kotowski and Marie Dunbar. A Service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019 at 9:00 AM in the Chapel of the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
