Frances E. Nelson, 87, of Oakland, MS passed away January 28, 2006 in Grenada Lake Medical Center, Grenada, MS. Born in Panola County Ms to the late Wesley Edward Richards and Alice Armstrong Nichols Richards she was a homemaker and a member of Oakland Methodist Church of Oakland, MS.
The family will receive friends at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Monday January 30, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Billy Ray Nelson and Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Goshen Cemetery in Yalobusha County. Serving as pallbearers will be: Frank Brooks, John Whisenant,Brad Brooks, Travis Brooks, Rich Ross and Terry Frazier.
Surviving Mrs. Nelson are her children: Daughter, Jane Lee of Grenada, MS and Son, Billy Nelson of Oakland, MS. She leaves Ten Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Nelson (April 1972): children, Edward Nelson, George Nelson and Ann Nelson Redwine : a great grandson, Matthew Redwine.
