Funeral services for Carolyn C. Jones, 76, of Ashburn, GA will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 12 at Dakota Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones passed away Tuesday at Tift Regional Medical Center. Interment will follow in the Dakota Cemetery.
The daughter of the late Early Emmett and Evelyn Louise Earick Christian, she was born in Charles, GA and a member of the Dakota Baptist Church. She was a retired inspector for Gold Kist Peanut Co. She loved to fish and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the widow of Franklin Delano Jones.
Survivors include her children, Sheila Myers of Hiawassee, GA and Kelly (Kenny) Johnson of Ashburn; her sister Mary Harris of North Carolina. She is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of services at Dakota Baptist Church on Thursday.
