Steep Falls - Betty Louise Hanscom, 70, of Steep Falls passed away unexpectedly at her home on November 4, 2019 after a brief illness. She was born in Westbrook on August 22, 1949 a daughter of Raymond and Katharine Evans. She attended local schools and was a 1968 graduate of Bonny Eagle High School.
Betty and her husband, Ralph Hanscom, have been married for 52 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker her whole life. She was compassionate, loving and caring often putting everyone's needs above her own. She enjoyed cooking and baking, shopping, and watching her nightly television programs, especially Jeopardy. Above all, Betty loved being with her family and will be sadly missed by everyone that loves her.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph Hanscom. 2 sons, Darren Hanscom, and Jamie Hanscom and wife Heidi. Granddaughters Bryanna, Keera and Kassidy Hanscom. Also siblings Jerry Evans, Dwight Evans, Keith Evans and Kathy Perry.
