Jeffrey Niles Bonner, 62, of Marion, died at his residence December 8, 2019.
Jeffrey was born, March 19, 1957 in Anderson, the son of Lowell E. and Betty E. (Little) Bonner.
He was a tool & die maker for general motors for 32 years working 22 years at Guide in Anderson then 10 years in Fort Wayne Truck Assembly Plant as a small tool repairman. He retired in April of 2009. He worked as an appliance salesman at Lowe's in Marion for 10 years retiring again in April of 2019. He attended College Wesleyan Church in Marion. He grew up attending Chesterfield Christian Church. He was a softball coach and umpire for more than 30 years. Jeffrey played guitar and enjoyed boating, woodworking and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids..
Jeffrey is survived by his wife of 42 years, Penny (McPhearson) Bonner of Marion, whom he married January 28, 1977 in Elwood; two daughters, Rachel M. (Steve) Brown of Chesterfield and Cindy R. (James) Short of Noblesville; six grandchildren, Jonathon Brown, CJ Brown, Joey Brown, Jacob Brown of Chesterfield and Caleb Short and Maddi Short of Noblesville; sister, Jo Ellen "Jodi" (Mike) McFall of Lenoir City, TN; brother, Lowell Edwin "Ed" (Sharon) Bonner, Jr. of Chesterfield, IN; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at College Wesleyan Church in Marion.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 11 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service in Anderson and Thursday, December 12 from 10 until the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Cancer Services of Grant County. 305 South Norton Avenue, Marion, IN 46952.
