Claire M. Ninteau, 84, of Derry, NH, died Saturday, January 28, 2006 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, Derry. Mrs. Ninteau was born in Lowell, MA on July 19, 1921, a daughter of the late Arthur and Angelina (LaVoie) Toupin. She lived there until 1965, when following the death of her husband Armand, she moved to Derry with five children under her care. She resided for more than 20 years on Hood Road in Nutfield Heights of Derry. Mrs. Ninteau worked at many jobs from Treasure Masters in Derry to the concession stand at the Hudson Speedway.
She is survived by eight children; Armand "Pete" Ninteau of CT, Dolores Cote of Lowell, MA, Pauline McCarthy of Loudon, NH, Lucille Moynagh of Derry, Dennis Ninteau of Manchester, NH, Theresa Stewart of Londonderry, NH, Richard Ninteau of New Haven, CT and David Ninteau of Litchfield, NH. Mrs. Ninteau is also survived by 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, two brothers, Joseph Toupin of NJ, Arthur Toupin of Lowell, a sister, Cecile Toupin of Tewksbury, MA and also by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Armand F. Ninteau in 1964, and by her daughter, Jeanne Ninteau, in 2003.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at 10:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. The burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA following the service. Friends called on Tuesday, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
