Roger W. Munroe, 75, of East Freetown died Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Born in Milford on September 4, 1944, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Marjorie (Aldridge) Munroe.
Roger grew up in Medway and graduated from Medway High School in 1964. He resided in Franklin for many years until moving to East Freetown one year ago.
Roger worked at the Medway Country Manor for many years, retiring in 2014 as the head custodian.
He was a member of the Medway VFW Post 1526 Auxiliary and was an avid pool player.
He is survived by his children, Eric Munroe of Connecticut, Christopher Munroe and his wife Theresa of East Freetown, Casey Sherman and her husband Jay of North Carolina, Ralph Munroe of Woonsocket, Rhode Island and Sean Munroe and his fiancée Erin of Woonsocket.
He is also survived by his brother Paul Munroe of South Carolina, thirteen grandchildren, many extended grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his grandchildren, Lexi and Sean Munroe and his siblings Patricia Duhamel, Ralph and Charles Munroe, Judith Ireland and Bruce Munroe.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Roger’s Life at the Medway VFW - Trophy Room, 123 Holliston Street in Medway on Saturday, December 14 at 6 p.m.
