CHICOPEE ~ Sandra J. “Jo” (Allard) Clayton, 53, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, December 2, 2019. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Seville, Spain on January 25, 1966, a daughter of the late Clement G. “Clem” and Helena M. “Lena” (Corcoran) Allard. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and had lived in Chicopee most of her life. She furthered her education and received an Associate’s Degree from Springfield Technical Community College and was later licensed and certified as a massage therapist at The Stillpoint Center School of Massage in Hadley. She had worked as a massage therapist and was the owner and operator of The Healing Touch Center in Chicopee. She had also worked at Rippa Chiropractic on Memorial Drive in Chicopee. During her leisure time, she enjoyed knitting and arranging beautiful silk floral pieces. She had a great love of all animals big and small. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She leaves her loving son, Nathaniel V. Clayton and his wife, Karen, of Louisville, Kentucky; her cherished granddaughter, Elizabeth Clayton; her dear brother, Paul M. Allard and his partner, Kathy Rogers, of Chicopee; her dear sister, Peggy A. Breault and her partner, Alan Ogoley; her dear companion, Art W. Jasper of West Springfield; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. She will also be deeply missed by her beloved canine companion, her mastiff, Goliath. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Fairview Knights of Columbus Council 4044 Members’ Lounge, 1599 Memorial Drive, Chicopee, MA 01020.
