Funeral Services for Mrs. Whilden Willis Cook, 82, of Ashburn, GA will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, Dec. 9, 2019 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Cook passed away Friday following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the Clements Chapel Cemetery in Turner Co., GA.
The daughter of the late Elton Willis and Mildred Goff Parker, she was born in Miami, FL and had lived in Turner County for a long number of years. She was the widow of Theron Michael Cook and also preceeded in death by her brother, Jimmy Willis. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church.
A freelance seamstress, she also had worked at Custom Drapery’s and All American Mobile Homes. She was a member of The Rocking Chair Cloggers, loved to fish, cook, gardening and making clothes for her children.
Survivors include her children, Michael Craig (JoAnn) Cook of Vienna; Sheldon (Desiree) Cook of Ashburn; Ellen (Robert) Greer of Poulan; Ann (Randy) Branch of Hazelhurst; Nancy Cook Reynolds of Valdosta and Jerry (Rhonda) Cook of Leesburg. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends, Monday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at Perry Funeral Chapel on Monday.
